Here's our next case study for Gold award-Winning Design and Installation schemes; this one is by Biotecture Ltd at 40 Conduit Street for a scheme worth over £10K.

Bio Picture 6

General information
This dynamic design is a geometric, curvilinear pattern, blending the transitions between the planting areas. The colour palette is of varying tones of green with silver and white accents, placed to balance and unify the design.

Plants naturally provide oxygen and remove carbon dioxide by day, some are also known to remove air pollutants, providing fresher air quality. Plants were chosen for low to medium height so as not to interfere with seating in close proximity to the walls.

Bio Picture 8

The plants are all evergreen and suit interior conditions of filtered light levels (to approximately 1000 LUX)

Consideration has been taken to ensure there are no berries, prickles or sap which may cause irritation.

Comment
The internal living walls are located on the first floor of a prestigious building in Mayfair, providing a stunning backdrop to any event held on the premises.

Bio Picture 9

The particularity of this project is the versatility of its design. This is formed of nine small living walls with a connective design between them.

Picture 5

The room can be one large space, where the wall can be admired as a whole, or be divided into smaller multiple rooms via movable partitions. The planting was designed to visually work as a whole but still provides colour and interest as individual walls.
