TreeLocate, a leading provider of high-quality artificial plants and trees, played a crucial role in transforming Uma Nota Manila into a visually stunning and immersive green space. This contemporary restaurant in the Philippines’ capital, inspired by the rich heritage of Brazil and Japan, offers an atmosphere where cultural boundaries dissolve.
The restaurant's focal point is a floating tree, a stunning engineering feat by TreeLocate. Elegantly hovering giving the illusion of weightlessness, the tree combines cherry blossoms and Ficus leaves, reflecting Brazilian and Japanese cultures. Towering within the cavernous 8-meter-high space, the 3.9m tree appears to levitate, its olive trunk suspended without visible support. Lit dramatically from below, its sprawling 5.5-meter canopy casts shifting shadows across the curved walls, making the space feel alive.

This ambitious vision for Uma Nota Manila was conceived by The Odd Duck design studio and was brought to life by TreeLocate. The idea of creating a fully levitating tree posed an unprecedented challenge for TreeLocate, unlike anything they had encountered in over 30 years of manufacturing. The illusion of weightlessness required meticulous planning—hidden steel plates and tensioned cables were integrated seamlessly into the structure. After rigorous testing in Dubai, the tree was shipped to the Philippines for careful assembly, ensuring flawless execution.
Bringing this suspended masterpiece to life was a testament to artistic ingenuity and engineering excellence. For TreeLocate, the project represents more than a technical achievement—it’s a symbol of limitless creative possibilities in the world of artificial plant design.
