Green Wall Day February 15th, 2024
Join us today (February 15) on International Green Wall Day and celebrate with us the beauty and environmental benefits of living green walls. The date marks the anniversary of the living wall inventor and visionary landscape architect Stanley Hart White in 1891, over 130 years ago.

How You Can Celebrate:
• Share Your Green Wall: Whether it's in your home, office or community, showcase your green wall on social media using the hashtag #GreenWallDay. Let's create a global gallery of lush greenery!
• Educate: Take this opportunity to explore the many environmental and well-being benefits of green walls. Share interesting facts, success stories, or your personal experiences with green walls to inspire others
• Please use the hashtag #GreenWallDay
Biotecture and Mitie are both supporting this day; we hope you will too. For more information see here.
Let's make International Green Wall Day a day to remember. Together, we can spread the love for green walls and contribute to a greener, healthier world.
Extraordinary Extensions All4
By chance we caught an old recording of Extraordinary Extensions originally shown on Channel 4. A gentleman, originally from Sri Lanka, living in Peckham decided to make some extraordinary changes to his home. These included a green wall installed by plants@work member, Biotecture.
It is worth watching to see how they go about the process and see the finished article.
Of course checking out Biotecture’s website will show you many examples of their work from external living walls to pictures to mobile screens for offices. You will also find many benefits of these green walls in different spaces.
Growing Revolution/Plant Box
Biotecture also supply Plant Box, a simple system that you can apply in a home or garden. Check out this link which explains how you set one up and how you are able to use it decorate indoor or outdoor spaces.

Other members' Green Walls
Plants@work member, Green Team Interiors offer a number of screens for the workplace. They say, 'There aren’t many things we would keep from a pandemic but Green Screens are one of them! We designed them with social distancing in mind, but they are still incredibly useful – including being far prettier than any boring office dividers!'
Urban Planters have installed a number of green walls over the years. Here are a few of them:
