NPWW 2019 Measuring the Success Part 2

Published on the website during National Plants at Work Week 2019
- Announcement of this year's Favourite Office Plant - Phlodendron Xanadu
- Our 'Connecting with Nature' release
- 6 case studies from members who received gold awards this year for installations worth more than £10,000
- Background stories for the top three plants in the contest to find Favourite Office Plant 2019: Philodendron xanadu, Epiphyllum anguliger and Alocasia macrorrhizos
Website visitors
- We had 60,219 hits to the website over 7 days (7 -13 July); that's 6,061 more than last year (over 9 days)
- The total hits to date (17 July) this month are 107. 840 suggesting this month will beat all other months so far this year even though we have racked up good figures (i.e. 118,713 in May and 116,682 in June)
- There have been 1,022 unique visitors to the site this month to date (about 50 less than last year)
- The two news items that received the most visitors were two Case Studies: Mitie's Deloitte and Indoor Garden Design's ITV case study - 200 and 249 respectively
- The NPWW dedicated page on the website has had 316 hits during July
Social media
We reported the pop-up indoor-out connecting with nature office, the Favourite Office Plant and runners up as well as the case studies on four social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn) throughout the week.
We also shared stories from members on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
We reached 18.7 people via our Twitter account over the 5 days 8 - 12 July. Unfortunately this is not as good as last year.
However our top tweets reached a good audience:
Facebook
On Facebook we covered most of the NPWW posts on the dedicated page but sharing some on plants@work's own page too.
We reached 860 via the NPWW dedicated page over the 7 days and gained 8 new followers
And 557 on plants@work's own page plus 5 new followers. That's 1,417 in total (about 650 less than last year's reach).
Our top post on the NPWW page was 'Keep an eye out for Urban Planter's colourful technicians', followed by the tree poem.
The best performing post on plants@work's FB page was about Holland's bee attracting green roofs on bus stops.
Instagram
There were 49 posts tagged #plantsatworkweek from us, members and other companies
Our reach (impressions) for the week was 6,687 i.e. total number of times our posts were seen.
LinkedIn
We posted on our plantsatwork group and share to our NPWW group (47 mmbers) throughout the week.
Some companies stuck to LI to post their messages i.e. Nature at Work.
