Hurst were the first company to move into the new building at No3 Stockport Exchange. The prestigious 5th floor office has amazing views over Stockport and our client needed a planting scheme that reflected the fabulous new location. Throughout the project we worked closely with their designer Sheila Bird Studios who had a very clear vision of what she wanted to achieve.
The scheme focused on lots of live planting, wild and full, in earthy natural toned planters. Bringing the outside inside, biophilic and sustainable, ensuring that we used the right plants for the right areas. Prominent features include the bespoke natural wood partition screen dividers in natural tones with integrated planter boxes filled with lots of fresh, green foliage not only enhancing the environment and wellbeing, but also cleaning the air and helping with acoustics in the open plan office area.
Collaborating with Sheila Bird Studios (designer), Hurst embarked on a mission to infuse their new office with natural elements, striking a balance between aesthetics and functionality. When Hurst came to us, we provided them with options to achieve this goal and they were delighted with the scheme, commenting “The plants look great, and your team were fantastic,” and “It looks amazing!”
There were very tight time restraints with the project, and we worked flexibly with the project team and contractors. Regardless of logistical constraints, through effective coordination we ensured a seamless installation process, and the client was very pleased with the project overall.
The scheme focused on using natural finish planters and wood partition screens with warm tones mixed with luscious greenery to create a biophilic space, sustainable and air purifying. Also, using fire retardant replica plants for high level displays.
The verdict was unanimous: Hurst and their design team were delighted with the result. This green makeover not only met but exceeded expectations, setting a new benchmark for interior design in Stockport. The integration of nature into the workspace not only enhanced its visual appeal but also fostered a healthier and more productive environment for employees.
