Kia HQ London
phs Greenleaf
Kia prides itself on car showrooms and office spaces that are sleek and modern and welcoming. As part of its branding, it likes to inject greenery into its spaces to help customers and employees feel relaxed and at ease and to promote a sense of well-being.
The phs Greenleaf team were appointed to apply bursts of nature into the Kia Derby showroom and the London head office. The brief was to create two feature pieces using plants and natural materials and to add further green elements to elevate the showroom and head office spaces.
The brief was quite open so our team created a menu of options for Kia to review and we collaborated with their team to decide on the right solutions and plants for the chosen locations.
The challenge came with ensuring the hydroplants in the living wall were kept watered and thriving. It required planning and skill to install the most suitable irrigation system for the location.
For the Derby showroom, we wanted to create a striking feature piece that would draw in customers and make them feel comfortable and happy to spend longer in the showroom. Our team installed a 3m x 2.6m living wall in the reception to set a calm, serene tone as customers were welcomed into the space. The wall was supplied by Nature’s Green with plants by Koberg.
To continue the sense of well-being and to act as practical space dividers, the team installed 4 tall plant dividers into the showroom’s café area too, helping to break up spaces and hide unsightly areas like bins and washing up stations from customers.
In the London head office, another showstopper was required. We installed at 6m x 2.5m moss wall, featuring different types of moss including a mix of bun, flat and reindeer moss to add texture and varying green and earthy tones to the space. We also installed a live picture in a striking white frame measuring 112cm x 72cm to add an unusual burst of greenery against the wall.
Kia were thrilled with the results and loved the creativity our team injected into the project, creating show-stopping pieces that were both modern, natural and practical.
