Design Installation over 30K

We have a long working relationship with Skanska and so were more than happy to work for them on their move to a purpose built HQ in Watford in Autumn 2022. Their architects JRA provided concept visuals and floor plans enabling us to create a suitable planting scheme.

The client was particularly keen to bring a wide range of different display styles into the premises making a statement and lifting the environment in which they were working. It was also a requirement to incorporate many of the existing displays from their old site. We worked closely with JRA and Skanska for many months, using the concept visuals and floor plans to fine-tune each display for the various areas and carefully selecting all plants to suit the varying environments.

The use of these planters helps the dividing space whilst also giving colour and texture  height texture and colour mean this work space has a lovely view

Sourcing planters during 2022 was difficult which delayed the date of the expected completion. As part of the design, there were over 100 client’s own furniture units featuring built in planters. To make these suitable for live planting, we had the planters lined with GRP on site to ensure waterproofing prior to planting up. This work was completed over one weekend to fit in with the site build schedule.

Although it wasn’t straight-forward, this installation was an absolute joy to work on. A lot of time and effort from both sides went into the designing of this scheme but the harmonious partnership we have with Skanska helped us create what resulted in an excellent end result.
