This year marks the 20th anniversary of Leaf Awards which have and continue to recognise and honour the creativity, dedication and innovation of plants@work members. The celebrations culminated in the Leaf Awards presentation which took place at Futurescape on Wednesday 16 October. #LeafAwardsAt20
As in previous years, all entries, except for Christmas installations, were visited by one of the plants@work panel of judges. A total of 25 outstanding projects were submitted, with many achieving a Gold Leaf Award whilst others earned Silver or Bronze accolades.
Shoosmiths LLP, Birmingham not only achieved Gold but a special recommendation by the judges:
“This design and installation doesn’t disappoint in reality. It is beautifully designed and executed and the mixture of plants has been perfectly chosen to compliment the environment. Specimen plants are all stunning – Monstera, Strelitzia and Philodendron Xanadu.
“The planting in the kitchen area with Zamioculcas and Asplenium is stunning as well as replica plants suspended over eatery. Likewise the Epipremnum which trails along the floor, looks incredible. A ‘sunset garden’ with replica trees and shrubs which gives a clever English garden feel.
“All plants look very healthy and beautifully maintained. An excellent scheme which is faultless. A wonderfully different scheme which fuses practicality with interesting plant choices.”

The Leaf Award design and installation categories were sponsored by Dutch plant and container supplier, Koberg bv
