Helleborus: for your December gardens

Helleborus flowers in the middle of winter, and it’s always spectacular - a plant that blooms, even when most garden plants are hibernating. Helleborus (also known as the Christmas rose) treats you to large white flowers with a fantastic crown of stamens at their heart from November to March. The plant can cope with snow or frost: branches might droop a bit, but as soon as the temperatures climb again, Helleborus will straighten up.

Anthurium: December's Houseplant of the Month

The story of Anthurium 
Anthurium is one of the most popular houseplants. Attractive to look at, easy to look after, and brings with it a real personality into the home, which gives a serene feeling in white, whilst the brightly coloured varieties have a lively appearance. Although most people think that the coloured part is the flower, it’s actually a coloured bract. Anthurium’s flowers are very small and are all found on the spike.

One of Urban Planters' biggest clients, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, has been awarded the prestigious Green Apple award for Environmental Best Practice, for the extensive landscaping and green infrastructure around its retail centres at both Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City.
