Gold Leaf Award winning Christmas Design by Nurture Landscapes Ltd

This design for McCann Worldgroup went from digital drawn images to real life. Bespoke handmade items sets this design apart from the rest. The sourcing of materials takes a lot of time to get right and if we couldn’t find it, it was made by hand. The Ski Bar & Holiday Valley signage was all handmade, along with the snowballs and ski lift motifs. We re-used an igloo that had previously been used for a pub event.

This was all curated by Joanna Marriott from design to installation. She runs the team onsite for the installation to make sure the vision she has agreed with the client comes to life. Finding decorations and props on Etsy, Ebay and Facebook market places is a great challenge – but all worth it in the end as the final results speak for themselves.

The Snowy Mountains and The Entrance to the Bar

They also wanted it to be ‘instagramable’ and interactive. They had mentioned a few times about a snowy field of Christmas trees they had installed themselves at their previous office – so we took this idea and went for the Après Ski theme.

We had to fit around large marble solid coffee tables in reception – we did this by using them as chairs and putting faux fur rugs on them. The client is always willing to give us free reign for our ideas – and their trust in what we can do is a great asset. We had to make sure the igloo was preassembled and labelled as it took a day to make at our office due to 5 igloos being stored together – this itself was a jigsaw and a challenge!

Main Reception

The design was over and above what the client had expected! And they loved the handmade items! They really liked that we used potted trees for the live tree element as this meant they could have the display installed earlier than they usually had and that we could re-plant the trees after we remove the installation. The space was very well received and the staff onsite requested that the igloo in Reception was made into a bookable meeting space for the duration!
