This year marks a major milestone for the interior landscaping industry as plants@work celebrates its 25th anniversary. For a quarter of a century, the association has championed the businesses, innovators and professionals who have shaped and strengthened the industry.

To mark our Silver Jubilee, plants@work is bringing members together for a special Conference and Awards Celebration on Thursday, 8 October 2026, at the stunning Glasshouse Collective in Chobham.

The Glasshouse Collective, a beautifully repurposed glasshouse, provides an inspiring and fitting backdrop for this landmark event. Surrounded by greenery and with a strong connection to nature, it offers the perfect setting to reflect on how far the industry has come, explore the challenges and opportunities ahead, and celebrate the people who have helped shape its success.

A day of industry insight, inspiration and celebration

The conference will combine industry insight, professional development, international perspectives and plenty of opportunities to connect with colleagues.

We have an exciting programme of speakers and seminars planned, bringing together experiences from across the world of interior landscaping – from operating a business in extraordinary circumstances to new technology, preserved planting, international markets and the science behind the benefits of plants.

Iryna Pakhomova, Bulletproofing Your Landscaping Business: Selling Plants Amidst the Rocket Fire.

Iryna will share her experience of running a landscaping business in Ukraine during extraordinary and challenging circumstances, including how her team adapted their operations and continued working in an entirely new reality.

To bring the experience to life, her Ukrainian team recorded a series of short interview-style videos with team members. At our conference, Iryna will combine some video material and share the key lessons and practical takeaways from this remarkable experience.

Iryna Pakhomova – One Big Green: Technology for the Future of Plantscaping

Iryna will also introduce One Big Green, the software platform she developed specifically for the plantscaping industry.

Having extensive experience within the sector, Iryna recognised the need for modern technology that addresses the particular operational challenges faced by plantscaping businesses.

One Big Green brings together tools designed to help businesses manage plant assets and sites, scheduling, service reporting, teams, time tracking, replacements, costing and other aspects of day-to-day operations.

This seminar will explore how technology can help plantscaping businesses become more efficient, improve service delivery and prepare for the future, as well as considering the growing role of data, automation and AI within the industry.

Edgardo Rossi – Preserved Planting: Where It Was Impossible Before, and Where It Is Needed the Most

Edgardo Rossi will share his knowledge and experience of preserved plants and their growing role in interior and biophilic design.

Through his work with Preserved Plants Design, Edgardo has focused on helping the industry understand preserved plants as a strategic resource for interior environments, rather than simply a decorative product.

His presentation will explore where preserved planting can offer possibilities that living plants cannot – particularly in environments where there is insufficient natural light, difficult environmental conditions or no practical way of maintaining living plants.

Edgardo will also showcase a selection of Italian and European projects he has been involved with, demonstrating the range of possibilities for preserved planting. From workplaces and commercial environments to more specialist and challenging spaces, the projects will show how preserved plants can be incorporated into contemporary interiors and biophilic design.

The session will offer practical insight into where preserved planting works best, how it can be used strategically within a scheme, and the opportunities it creates for designers, interior landscapers and their clients.

Kenneth Freeman – Modern Interior Landscaping in India

Kenneth Freeman has travelled extensively throughout India in connection with his business, giving him the opportunity to see first-hand how the country's interior landscaping industry is developing.

During his travels, Kenneth has visited and observed modern plant installations, interior landscaping projects and the plant production and nursery sector, seeing how plants are being grown, supplied and incorporated into contemporary commercial environments.

In this seminar, Kenneth will share his observations and experiences from the ground, looking at the modern face of interior landscaping in India, the scale and diversity of the market, production methods and some of the innovative plant installations he has encountered.

It will provide a fascinating international perspective on a market that is developing differently from the UK and offer an insight into the opportunities and challenges facing the industry in India.

Kenneth Freeman, The Science of Plants: Exploring 25 Years of Research

As part of our Silver Jubilee celebrations, Kenneth will also look back at the science behind the industry with “The Science of Plants: Exploring 25 Years of Research into the Health and Environmental Benefits of Plants.”

The presentation will explore how our understanding of the benefits of plants has developed over the past 25 years, looking at research into health, wellbeing, the working environment and the wider environmental benefits of plants.

It will bring together the evidence behind what the interior landscaping industry has been delivering for decades and consider how research can continue to support the role of plants in modern workplaces and interior environments.
